Is this love and the feminine triumphing over the violence and war of the masculine?If only for one battle? Yet a battle celebrated every year for hundreds of years.
We will appreciate all the battles won by women when we may. Especially in these trying times.
Even my small battles to make the most beautiful products, eco and ethically responsible. With people who would try to dilute and compromise my vision. Some times manufacturers don’t understand why you don’t use pvc.. or formaldehyde or why they must pass GOTS certification in order for me to do business with them. Or most mportantly why they must use fair trade labor standards.Someone yelled at me today “These are my employees. You can not tell me how many hours they can work!” No I can not ... but I will not buy from you if you do not meet these standards. So many days are so many battles. Today I won! Not just for me, but for the employees and the earth that would have received toxic ground water poisoning and the consumers who react to so many chemicals. Today I won. I feel strong like the moon tonight... I feel the drums travel thru the moonlight into my heart.
Founding Anna Sova Organic Home in 2004
I founded Anna Sova in 2004 with my Father, Richard K. Walker. Prior to that I had been a manufacturing CEO and a product designer for many, many years. Our goal was to build the nest quality eco responsible products for the entire home. This goes back to 1998 when we built our factory for manufacturing our patented paint made from food ingredients, bypassing the toxic contamination of conventional paint factories, and allowing us to create “the healthiest paint you can buy TM .” Our other products included hardware and furniture made from upcycled aluminum and steel, hand red bamboo, and FSC reforested wood; draperies made of certified organically processed silk, cotton, and linen; organic cotton carpets made with the Tibetan Government in Exile; and flooring made of formaldehyde-free bamboo and wood. We also made numerous other eco home accessories, most importantly: the nest quality certified organic linens in the world (previously SKAL, n...
